  • Q. What inspired you to become a Mortgage Broker?

    A. Working in the banking sector and witnessing first hand pain points for the customer I wanted to branch out and be able to offer my clients more options. I also saw my hometown losing lending services and I thought becoming a Mortgage Adviser would be beneficial for my community. I just want to help people achieve their goals.

    Q. What is the best part of being a Mortgage Broker?

    A. The flexibility to accommodate time frames that suit your customer’s needs. I believe customer-centricity is a really important element to meet people’s needs and ensure a positive experience. Not everyone can accommodate restricted operational hours.

    Q. What have you found to be the most challenging aspect?

    A. I look at everything as an opportunity to learn. I believe you should never stop learning and no two deals are the same. Policy does tend to change frequently, but you just need to stay up to date. Being informed is everything.

    Q. How would you sum up being a Mortgage Broker in three words?

    A. Authentic, resourceful and reliable.

    Q. If you were Prime Minister for one day, what would you do?

    A. Implementing one organisation as a voice to central government that really listens to all of New Zealand Agriculture, as well as what is needed by farmers at a grassroots level.

    Q. Complete this sentence: If I Wasn’t in Mortgage Broking, I would be…

    A. Using my Earth Science education.
